Alberto Serino graduated in law with the highest honours (magna cum laude) from the ‘Federico II’ University of Naples in March 1993.
After being called to the bar in 1996, he began practising as a lawyer at the Naples office of Studi Legali Consociati (SLC – Avvocati Porzio Bove e Associati) law firm, becoming a partner in 2000.
He joined the Genoa Chambers initiative together with the other partners of SLC (Vittorio and Giancarlo Porzio) in 2010.
Alberto Serino’s main interests are navigation and transport law, providing advice and assistance on insurance (P&I, H&M, pleasure craft, freight claims, civil and professional liability) and commercial contracts, having gained significant expertise on the international sale of goods as well as the hiring, charter, and construction of ships and tugs.
His career has brought him before foreign judicial authorities as an expert witness to assist in the resolution of problems relating to the interpretation and application of Italian law.
He has authored numerous scholarly publications on maritime matters.
